Flock the Yard

Adopt A Flamingo & Flock the Yard

Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has been the beneficiary of Mary Leisses’ “Flock the Yard” program for many years. Mary was a very special person and breast cancer patient. When Mary was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, her friend Lori Bunkholt planted pink & black tulips in her yard and coined the phrase “Pink & Black. We fight back!” and over the years started selling pink “yard” flamingos, decorating Mary’s yard with the adopted flamingos where the proceeds benefited Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2017, Mary's breast cancer returned, and she passed away June 2019 - leaving a huge hole in the hearts of many. Help us honor Mary through the Flock the Yard celebration and adopt a flamingo at the Hope Chest Resale Shop or online.
